Mission and Vision

Our mission and vision is to educate students academically, spiritually, and culturally, and to develop their character in preparation for their pursuit of collegiate degrees.

“We’re building up Mobile’s leaders of tomorrow - academically, spiritually, and culturally.”

What you know is important, but what you do and how you act are more important.

— Sandy Stimpson, Founder Emeritus

Academic development

At Prichard Prep, we believe a strong academic foundation prepares our students for college, which in turn allows them to become future leaders in the Mobile area. Our educators and administrators have designed a rigorous curriculum for students to develop their academic talents and provide the foundation necessary for ongoing success. We have certified educators who are driven to create a challenging yet nurturing environment, which promotes hands-on learning for children at all stages of the learning process. Restricting class sizes to no more than 16 allows students to have more individualized attention.

In addition to the advanced curriculum, every student is also educated in Spanish, Technology, Music, Art, Bible, and Physical Education. Technology and Music are part of the daily curriculum and is one way Prichard Prep sets itself apart from other schools. An extended academic day allows students to have sufficient exposure to all core subjects in order to achieve maximum retention.

  • Extended day from 7:30 am – 3:00

  • Class size – 16 students maximum

  • Technology and Music classes daily

Spiritual & cultural Development

As a non-denominational Christian school, we believe in creating an atmosphere filled with love, joy, peace, kindness, patience, gentleness, and self-control. Our educators are motivated to help students learn and be happy, healthy, and well-behaved. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and enforce self-respect and respect for others. All educators and administrators serve as mentors and counselors for students to encourage friendly and Christian attitudes, and prayer is always a central practice. We have adopted the philosophy to positively reinforce selfless acts of kindness our students do for each other and for their teachers. In keeping with our mission, we expose our students to various cultural and social experiences such as field trips to local museums, attractions, and events both external and internal to PPS. Our goal is to help students develop their individuality and introduce them to the arts and new ideas.

Every single thing you do matters. You have been created as one of a kind. You have been created in order to make a difference. You have within you the power to change the world.
